Conservation X Labs Welcomes Lona Stoll as Chief Operating Officer and Innovation Counsel

Seasoned public and non-profit sector operating executive to provide strategic oversight and counsel for growing conservation technology organization

WASHINGTON, D.C. — November 29, 2023 — Conservation X Labs (“CXL”), a technology-driven conservation organization, announced today that Lona Stoll has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer and Innovation Counsel. Ms. Stoll will lead the operational functions of CXL and provide strategic counsel for its innovation programs.

Lona is an exceptional leader who has deep experience and expertise in creating transformative and deeply creative programs to solve the world’s biggest challenges, and laying the operational foundations for their success at a global scale. Ms. Stoll has worked with global non-profits and government agencies for more than 20 years. Prior to joining CXL, she was Vice President of Impact and Innovation and Chief Innovation Officer at CARE USA, an international non-governmental organization, where she led impact measurement and learning, digital, technology, innovation, and private sector programming. Prior to CARE, she served as Deputy Vice President at Millennium Challenge Corporation, a U.S. government agency focused on poverty alleviation through economic growth. Before that, Ms. Stoll worked for USAID where she led Feed the Future, the U.S. Government global food security and nutrition initiative, and helped stand up and lead the U.S. Global Development Lab, with a mission to find radically new approaches to global development. Ms. Stoll previously spent four years in leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Agriculture and five years at the U.S. Department of State. She received her B.A. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, a Certificat d'Etudes Politiques from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Aix-en-Provence, France, and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University.
